From those to whom much is given, much is expected
SCHOOL ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
The
Schilling School has the highest average SAT score
among Greater Cincinnati public and private high
schools (Cincinnati Magazine – April 2003).
The
Ohio Department of Education and the Canadian
Department of Education requested permission to use
the Schilling curriculum as a model.
Newsweek
Magazine’s 1998 SCORE! Publication included a
picture of a Schilling student taken in class during
an interview regarding giftedness.
Special television reports focusing on gifted
children have featured The Schilling School.
The school submitted 17 artistically decorated theme
pigs, (more pigs than any other school in
Cincinnati) to the Little Pig Gig, a “piggyback” to
Cincinnati’s phenomenally successful Big Pig Gig.
STUDENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Two
Schilling students have received perfect scores in
the National Latin Exam.
A
board game patent was awarded to a Schilling Lower
School student, possibly the youngest patent holder

published.
Three Schilling students received full scholarships
to attend the Freedoms Foundation Camp at Valley
Forge, Pennsylvania.
Two

Cincinnati.
Two
Rotary International Exchange students were selected
from Schilling: one studied in Taiwan for the
2001-2002 school year, one of only three of the 36
sponsored students from around the world selected
to attend the top school in Taipei, and one studied
in Japan for the 2003-2004 school year.
Upper level science students from Schilling attended
the American Association for the Advancement of
Science Conference in Washington, DC, and spent time
with Stephen J. Gould, whose books had been
studied in class and with whom they had
corresponded.
