Donation Information

Donations of cash or securities may be made to the school. Since the school is a 501 (c)(3) federally tax-exempt organization, donations are deductible for federal income, gift and estate tax purposes, and the school does not pay income tax on the donations. Cash may be donated by making checks payable to “The Schilling School for Gifted Children, Inc.” and mailed to the school. Securities may be donated by contacting our treasurer, Ron Schilling, at rschilling@schillingschool.org for more detailed instructions.

Ohio’s new Tax Credit Scholarship program allows any person to make a gift of up to $750 each year and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit to be used against their Ohio tax liability for that year. The gift must be made to a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO).

Our school has been a member of the Ohio Association of Independent Schools (OAIS) for many years, and OAIS has established a SGO that receives donations which will benefit our school’s scholarship fund. By going to the OAIS SGO website landing page below and designating “The Schilling School for Gifted Children” as your “selected” school, the school will receive your donations which it can then use for scholarships for those students who qualify to receive financial aid.

To donate, go to the OAIS SGO website using the following Landing Page URL specifically set up for our school:

https://oais.gosgo.co/schools/2950/landing

1. Click “Donate Now”
2. Complete the “New One Time Donation” page which will pop up. “The Schilling School for Gifted Children–Cincinnati” name should already be in the “selected school” box. Once completed, click “Submit Donation” at the bottom of the page.
3. Your receipt will pop up. If paying by check, don’t forget to mail your check to OAIS SGO and write on the memo line “Schilling School” and the year of the donation.

Our treasurer, Ron Schilling, will be happy to answer any questions you have. He may be reached at rschilling@schillingschool.org.
